The call of our Prison Ministry is to share the gospel and disciple inmates who are living behind bars. All people are created by God to do great things for His kingdom, but some have lost their way to the extent that they have been incarcerated. The loss of freedom and separation from loved ones for those in prison cause many to stop running from God. This place of restraint becomes a fertile field in which the seed of the gospel often falls on good ground.
Our team ministers by teaching the Worcester Christian Church Bible School subjects at Correctional Centres in and around Worcester. Our goal is to spread the gospel, build relationships, help restore lives and to assist the South African Correctional Services with the rehabilitation of inmates.
The Covid-19 Pandemic, resulting in various lockdown levels, has unfortunately strongly affected our Ministry as access to the centres have been limited. We are currently involved at Worcester Female Centre only, but we trust that the Lord will again prepare a way for us at the other Centres in the near future (Isaiah 43:19 – For I am about to do something new………..)
